Kevin started breaking in 2010 at the Dancin’ Stars studio under Yoshi Hisanaga’s instruction until 2012. Since then, he co-founded The Haste Things dance crew with friends from high-school. The name stems from their roots of practicing and performing together at the Hastings Community Centre. The Haste Things have won several youth 18 & Under competitions and hope to do just as well in the all-ages competitions in the years to come.

With financial support from local community organizations such as the Hastings North Community Partners Group, McCreary Centre Society, and Vancouver Civic Theatres, Kevin introduced the Hastings Culture Clash event series in 2015 and has executed four of them so far. He explains that the goal of the Hastings Culture Clash events is to unify dancers and the general public with the goal of having everyone interact and learn from each other while introducing new people to the dance community. Be sure to look out for future events!

Outside of his street dance involvement, Kevin graduated in May 2017 from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Architectural and Building Technology and now works as an Assistant Project Manager at CFT Engineering Inc.
